I look after dogs weighing up to around 8 kg in small, friendly groups – including pickup, safe walks and a wealth of experience in meeting the specific needs of small dogs, the ‘minis’.

Small dogs have different needs than large dogs. That's why my dog walking service in Berlin is specifically tailored to small and very small dogs. I (generally) only look after dogs up to about 8 kilograms and ensure calm, suitable groups, safety on the walks, and individual attention for each dog. It's important that the dogs are compatible in temperament and get along well.

WHY SMALL DOGS NEED A SPECIALIZED DOG WALKER
Small dogs are often exposed to different stresses in everyday life and in groups than larger dogs. They often communicate more subtly (or even particularly "loudly"), are physically weaker, and especially benefit from attentive, proactive guidance.
As a specialized, certified dog walker for small dogs, I ensure that every dog is in a safe and relaxed group. My role is to confidently lead and guide the group so that all dogs feel secure and can enjoy a relaxed time – filled with joy, play, fun, and plenty of exploration and sniffing.

MY BOOKING MODEL
To guarantee your dog a secure spot with us, I offer monthly subscriptions . This allows you to plan effectively, and your pet has a consistent place in their group – with dogs they know and like, and with established routines they can get used to. This way, everyone can enjoy their time together.
Another advantage of the monthly subscription: Even if you take a break (if it doesn't work out or you're planning a vacation), your dog's place in the group is guaranteed. The subscription renews automatically and can be cancelled with four weeks' notice before the end of the month.

Tuesdays and Thursdays

Pick-up between 10:00 and 11:00, return between 14:00 and 15:00. (On hot days we start earlier by arrangement, in the darker months we may start later by arrangement.)

Currently no fixed holiday periods - we also "walk" during school holidays.

If I take a vacation during the year, I give timely notice - payments are suspended during this time.
We go out together into nature in and around Berlin - depending on the weather, into the forest, to meadows and fields, to lakes and streams, etc. There the dogs are allowed to sniff, dig, explore, play and romp together.
The shared break in between is also important and beneficial, allowing the dogs to relax away from the "action". This is essential for a well-balanced dog.
Our walks are approximately 2-4 km long, always adapted to the weather, so that there is a pleasant level of activity, but not an overload of the little ones.

1 x weekly €40.00 per walk
2 x weekly €35.00 per walk
The price includes the pick-up and return of your dog in (parts of) Berlin Mitte, Friedrichswerder, Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain - within a radius of approximately 3-4 km around the Engelbecken / Michaelkirchplatz.
All prices include 19% VAT.

Rescheduling and general appointment coordination take place via WhatsApp .

If I have to cancel an appointment, I will offer an alternative if possible. If this alternative appointment cannot be kept, it will of course not be charged. The same applies if the appointment is cancelled entirely by me.

In very bad weather, we postpone the walk to a more suitable day. In my experience, small dogs are particularly sensitive when it's too cold, too wet, or too hot.

The notice period is 4 weeks to the end of the month.

We take a winter break in January and February: usually from mid-January to mid-February. Depending on the weather, the break may be extended. No payment is required during the winter break.
REQUIREMENTS
Your dog is a "mini" – meaning he weighs up to about 8 kg. When putting together the group, I make sure that all dogs are microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and well-socialized. They should be able to travel calmly in the car. Male dogs in my groups must be neutered.
All dogs should be at least one year old or past puberty. Senior dogs are also welcome; we always adapt our walks to the "weaker" dog in the group and ensure that no one is overexerted.
We'll work together to find out if your dog fits into our existing group:

First, I will get to know your dog during a short walk with you (20€) and your dog.

If I think it's "a match", you and your dog are welcome to join us for a walk (10€).

If all the dogs are a good match and you want it, your dog will then become part of the Minis group.
Your dog must be free of contagious diseases, parasites, fleas, or similar issues if he joins our group walks. I strongly recommend tick protection for all walks.

QUALIFICATION
Certified dog walker specializing in small dogs
I am a professionally trained and certified dog walker and regularly participate in continuing education. At Mitte Minis, safety, clear group leadership, attentive observation, and the well-being of each individual dog are my top priorities.
The Minis team – that's me, Susanne, with my two little ones. Since graduating from university, I've been self-employed in the music industry, and I love and live for the stage.
When my first dog came into my life a few years ago, I unexpectedly discovered my second great passion: dogs. Their presence grounds me, fulfills me, and the time we spend together makes me happy.
Since then, I have become increasingly immersed in the world of dogs and eventually decided to establish a second career in this field. To that end, I completed my training as a certified professional dog walker at the renowned "Academy for Animal Therapy Professions " (further training courses listed below) and ultimately founded Mitte Minis.
